Texas Instruments' high-efficiency integrated power supplies
TI's broad portfolio of power management ICs supports the needs of NXP processors and Xilinx FPGAs. As can be seen from our complete reference designs (hardware and software with documentation), TI PMICs can be configured to support powering non-TI processors.
These reference designs are based on user-programmable PMICs such as the TPS6521815, which enable users to program non-volatile EEPROM memory to generate desired voltages, sequencing, and other special functions, simplifying design and reducing time to market. The same device can be programmed multiple times to power various processors or FPGAs in different systems without changing the printed circuit board, thus minimizing the number of components on the board.
TI PMICs also offer additional features such as power-fail detection (early detection of uncontrolled power-off), active discharge during power-off, and extended temperature support (-40 to 105C).
