According to news on August 11, after the source @URedditor exposed the relevant details of the iPhone 15 series A17 chip yesterday, today it once again revealed many details. IT House summarized the scattered tweets as follows:
First, confirm previous tweets that the two iPhone 15 Pro models and the two iPhone 16 standard models launched next year will use the A17 chip (t8130), while next year’s iPhone 16 Pro models will use the A18 chip (t8140).
IT House previously reported that the A17 bionic chip will be equipped with a 6-core CPU and 6-core GPU. The current A16 Bionic chip comes with a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU, so this means the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have an extra GPU core. In addition, the A17 Bionic chip's CPU will have a maximum clock speed of 3.70 GHz, which is higher than the 3.46GHz of the A16 Bionic chip.
He once again confirmed previous revelations in his tweet, confirming that the two iPhone 15 Pro models will use 6GB of memory.
The estimated sizes of the two iPhone 16 Pro models are 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, and the actual sizes are estimated to be 6.28 inches and 6.87 inches.
He believes that Apple usually limits media comments, and review media will sign multi-page terms with Apple. If there are criticisms or concerns in the article, it needs to be reviewed by Apple before being published.
His overall view is that the iPhone 15 series is relatively mediocre. It only replaces the USB-C port. The actual experience should be worse than the iPhone 14 Pro series. He will look forward to the 2024 model.
