By region, mobile Internet access traffic in the eastern, central, western and northeastern regions reached 77.3 billion GB, 40.3 billion GB, 53.5 billion GB and 9.87 billion GB, respectively, up 37.2%, 38.5%, 31.1% and 31.5% year-on-year. The growth rate in the central region led the country.

It is worth mentioning that the average mobile Internet access traffic (DOU) per household in Tibet, Qinghai, Yunnan and Xinjiang in October exceeded 19GB/household/month, with Tibet reaching as high as 23.4GB/household/month, while Heilongjiang, Shanghai and Hebei were at the bottom, with the lowest being only 9.3GB/household/month.

This should be inversely proportional to the level of broadband development. In the second quarter of 2021, Shanghai ranked first in the country in terms of fixed broadband speed, and the proportion of broadband users with 1000Mbps and above was significantly higher than the national average, and 2000M home broadband was the first to be launched.
