Earlier this week, Apple began selling standalone replacement ear pads for AirPods Max, and users who ordered them have now started receiving their orders.
According to the unboxing pictures of foreign netizens, the AirPods Max ear pads are packed in a simple white box with a picture of the ear pads of the corresponding color on the front. Each ear pad is separated by a cardboard partition and is designed to be easy to remove from the box.
The packaging is standard Apple packaging, similar to the boxes and materials used for accessories like Apple Watch bands and the Apple Pencil.
The AirPods Max ear cushions are available in silver, black, green, sky blue, and red to match all available AirPods Max colors, but given that the design allows for mixing and matching colors, Apple may offer unique colors in the future.
The price of independent ear pads is 499 yuan per pair and they are now available for purchase on Apple's official website.
