On August 18, MediaTek launched its latest 5G chip, Dimensity 800U.
It is reported that the Dimensity 800U adopts a 7nm process and an octa-core architecture design, including two ARM Cortex-A76 large cores with a main frequency of up to 2.4GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 high-efficiency cores with a main frequency of 2.0GHz. It is equipped with an ARM Mali-G57 GPU, an independent AI processor APU, LPDDR4X memory, and supports turbo write flash acceleration technology.
The Dimensity 800U integrates a 5G baseband, which not only fully supports independent (SA) and non-independent (NSA) networking in the Sub-6GHz frequency band, but also supports cutting-edge 5G technologies such as 5G+5G dual-SIM dual-standby, dual VoNR voice services, and 5G dual-carrier aggregation. The Dimensity 800U supports MediaTek 5G UltraSave power-saving technology, which can dynamically adjust the working mode of the modem according to the network environment and data transmission conditions, helping the terminal provide users with more lasting 5G battery life.
Dimensity 800U supports 120Hz FHD+ screen refresh rate, HDR10+ standard, and can support up to 64-megapixel camera and quad-camera combination
