Apple today released the fourth public beta of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, corresponding to the fourth developer beta released the day before yesterday.
At present, this public beta version does not specify what new features are introduced, but it still improves stability. The home screen and application interface of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 have undergone major changes, focusing on upgrading the information application, Safari, Siri interface, and maps. It also brings the introduction of voice recognition and improvements to functions such as CarKey.
iOS 14 introduces a redesigned home screen and supports widgets on iPhone for the first time. Widgets have also been redesigned and can now be customized in three sizes through the new widget library.
For reference, iOS 13 was released on Thursday, September 19, 2019, iOS 12 was released on Monday, September 17, 2018, iOS 11 was released on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, and iOS 10 was released on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
Given that Apple has never released a new version of its mobile operating system on the weekend, and the official version of iOS usually arrives between September 10 and 20, combined with recent rumors and revelations, foreign media speculate that iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 are most likely to be released on September 16 (Wednesday).
