Multiplication detector circuit using MC1496
Source: InternetPublisher:明天见 Keywords: Detector Updated: 2024/09/05
This circuit is a single sideband amplitude modulation signal detector. Its demodulation principle is to multiply the received single sideband (SSB) signal with the transmission carrier restored by the receiving end to complete the demodulation work. The integrated block MC1496 in the figure is a balanced modulator and demodulator. The output voltage of the circuit is the product of the input voltage signal and the switching function provided by the carrier. The sensitivity of this circuit when working at a 9MHz intermediate frequency is 3μV and the dynamic range is 90dB.
