Recently, Puhua Capital announced its investment in Shenzhen Daxin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Daxin Electronic"). The two parties will promote the development of China's consumer and enterprise-level SSD fields.
Tianyancha shows that Daxin Electronics has received several rounds of financing since 2017, with investors including Deyi Microelectronics, PwC Capital, and Glory Ventures.
According to Lieyun.com, Dr. Li Minghao, Chairman and General Manager of Daxin Electronics, said that Daxin Electronics has promoted the differentiated development of SSD control chips through continuous technological innovation based on core technologies such as NVMe, LDPC, and SSD control chip architecture. It is an inevitable trend for PCIe to replace SATA interface. It is expected that by 2019, the shipment volume of PCIe SSD will be equal to that of SATA SSD.
In addition, Daxin Electronics also launched its first control chip EP-160 in 2017, mainly for entry-level consumer PCIe SSDs, and launched the control chip EP-280 for high-end consumer and entry-level enterprise PCIe SSDs at the end of 2018, and released a control chip platform integrating PCIe Gen4 and 100GbE.
It is reported that Daxin Electronics was established at the end of 2014, focusing on the R&D and design of SSD-related technologies. It has the leading NVMe technology reserves and LDPC IP in China, and is committed to the R&D of PCIeSSD control chip-related technologies. It is worth noting that in terms of LDPC IP, Daxin Electronics has a number of key patents. Its products are currently the only LDPC IP in China that supports enterprise-level SSDs. Its technology uses dynamic variable bit rate (DVCR) technology to provide industry-leading error correction performance.
