Science and technology are entering a new development cycle. Intelligent technology on the edge is iterating at an accelerated pace every moment. The deep integration of edge intelligence with various industries has not only reshaped the business structure of the industry and created new technical features and experiences, but also spawned huge terminal-side demand. This trend has become a key force in promoting digital transformation and social progress.
In order to promote the continuous iteration of edge intelligent technology, expand the ideas and capabilities of edge intelligent developers, and tap the innovation and potential of edge intelligent applications, the "2024 Qualcomm Edge Intelligence Innovation Application Competition" hosted by Qualcomm Technologies and co-organized by Ajiaxi Intelligent Technology, Guangyi Zhilian, and Meige Intelligent was officially launched on April 10.
The competition focuses on the implementation of innovative applications of edge intelligence in different segments, and has set up three popular tracks: industrial intelligent quality inspection track, intelligent edge computing track and intelligent robot track.
-Industrial Intelligent Quality Inspection Track: Focusing on the intelligent application of machine vision in industrial quality inspection, participants can choose 3C, textiles, glass, auto parts, lithium batteries and other industries to develop and implement quality inspection projects;
- Intelligent Edge Computing Track: Focusing on key technologies such as edge intelligence, edge reasoning, and edge data processing, participants can choose industries such as smart cameras, smart retail, smart cities, smart cockpits, assisted driving, and edge large-scale model applications to develop and implement projects;
- Intelligent Robot Track: Focuses on intelligent robot applications with intelligent perception, autonomous decision-making and flexible action capabilities. Participants can choose service robots, nursing robots, educational assistance robots, collaborative robots, AMR robots, industrial production robots and other related projects for development and implementation.
Based on their own application ideas, participants can flexibly choose an edge intelligent IoT development board based on Qualcomm IoT solutions/platforms provided by event partners Guangyi Zhilian or Meige Intelligent for application development. The two development kits are equipped with Qualcomm QCS6490 platform and QCS8550 platform respectively, providing powerful processing capabilities and underlying hardware foundation for a variety of business models and use cases, meeting the high-performance requirements of edge intelligent applications. At the same time, through the Ajiaxi edge intelligent development tool chain, it supports multiple operating systems, and can complete the migration, optimization and edge reasoning of models in one stop, quickly realizing project implementation.
The competition includes preliminary rounds, semi-finals, finals and award ceremony. During the six-month competition, the competition will provide participants with a series of high-quality hardware and software integrated services and full-process support systems based on Qualcomm's new IoT solutions through competition platforms, technical training, expert Q&A, etc., to help developers create high-quality, low-cost, commercializable next-generation edge intelligence applications in a shorter time.
