On September 16-17, the IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group held the "2021 6G Seminar - 6G Vision and Outlook" seminar in Beijing.
According to China Business News, Han Xia, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that 6G, which is oriented to commercial use in 2030, is still in the stage of vision demand research and concept formation, and the technical direction and solutions of 6G are still being explored.
It is reported that judging from the development trend, 6G will expand the capabilities and service boundaries of mobile communication networks, deepen the application scope and fields of the Internet of Things, and serve intelligent production and life.
According to an email from Huawei's President's Office signed by Xu Zhijun, the company's rotating chairman, and released on September 10, Xu Zhijun predicted in the preface to the book "6G Wireless Communication New Journey" that 6G will be launched on the market around 2030.
IT Home learned that this 6G seminar will be held over two days. The meeting will share global 6G progress and release the latest research results of the promotion group. At the same time, experts and scholars from academia and industry will share their views on 6G vision and potential key technologies.
In addition, the second day's meeting will be divided into three sub-venues for simultaneous discussions, including 6G wireless converged communications and new frequency bands, 6G wireless new physical dimensions and technologies, and 6G network architecture and technologies, covering more than ten key scientific research fields such as enhanced wireless air interface technology, new physical dimension wireless transmission technology, communication and perception fusion technology, intrinsically intelligent communication networks, new network architectures, and network security, bringing together experts and scholars from academia and industry to discuss the progress and challenges of 6G research.
