Earlier, cybersecurity company Check Point Research disclosed a new vulnerability in Unisoc chips.

The vulnerability affects the network modem, which is part of the chip and is directly responsible for network connectivity. This means that an attacker will be able to use this vulnerability to send corrupted network packets to the user, thereby disabling or interrupting the device's network connectivity.

Today, according to media reports, UNISOC officially responded to this matter.

UNISOC officially stated that it has completed the investigation of the security vulnerability and registered it. The verified patches have been updated to relevant customer manufacturers on May 30.

In addition, the official also responded to users' concerns about the security of Ziguang ZTE chips.

Officials said that the vulnerability would only exist when the operator's network was breached by hackers, and would not cause information leakage on user terminals or irreversible communication problems.

At the same time, officials also emphasized that the operators themselves have already taken targeted precautions against such risks, so users do not need to worry too much.
