According to VideoCardz, whistleblower Greymon55 said that Nvidia's RTX 40 series graphics cards based on the Ada Lovelace graphics architecture are expected to be launched at the end of the third quarter, which is September, in line with Nvidia's normal 2-year release cycle.
According to reports, the RTX 40 graphics cards will use the new PCIe Gen5 power connector, and the power consumption of flagship models such as the RTX 4080/4080Ti/4090 GPUs may be between 450W and 850W.
The flagship model of the RTX 40 graphics card will be equipped with the AD102 GPU, which is expected to use TSMC's N5 process and has a chip size of 600 square millimeters. According to previous rumors, the AD102 may have 18,432 CUDA cores.
IT Home learned that Nvidia's RTX 30 series graphics cards still have an RTX 3090 Ti that has not been officially launched. At CES 2022 this year, Nvidia released the RTX 3090 Ti flagship graphics card. Nvidia's Jeff Fisher said at the press conference that more news about the RTX 3090 Ti will be announced later in January, but Nvidia still did not launch this graphics card until late February. In terms of parameters, the RTX 3090 Ti is equipped with 10752 CUDA cores and 24GB 21 Gbps GDDR6X video memory, with a design power consumption of up to 450W, which is more than 100W higher than the RTX 3090 model.
