Starport Inspection Robot

The robot cannot pass through the uneven road surface or slope on the robot inspection route. The robot does not carry a mechanical arm and cannot operate switches, buttons, keys, and valves in a timely manner. The installation height of the inspection equipment is not fixed, and the robot cannot observe the equipment at an ultra-high position. For complex resistive screen interfaces, it is difficult for the robot to read data and cannot distinguish the background of different data. In 2023, our company launched the Hong Kong inspection robot.

In dusty environments, the robot's main sensing device has a noise reduction filter algorithm. Dark environments basically do not affect the robot's walking. LiDAR and ultrasonic waves can work normally in a completely dark environment, and the obstacle avoidance camera is also an active infrared light source. For uneven roads, we designed a high-performance suspension with large-diameter universal casters. When multiple people walk, the robot will plan the best route to walk.

Reasons for participation:

First of all, in terms of practicality, our inspection robot can conduct inspections around the clock and autonomously according to the time, route and inspection content set in advance by the staff. It can promptly detect and predict potential safety hazards in the surrounding environment, and monitor indoor environmental indicators such as temperature, humidity, smoke and noise in real time. The staff can remotely monitor the robot and obtain environmental data in real time, thus realizing unmanned control operations.

Secondly, in terms of creativity, our lifting mechanism adopts multi-stage lifting, can rise to 2 meters at the highest, the motor speed is up to 200mm/s, and with high-definition cameras, it can achieve high-altitude multi-range shooting and inspection.

Robotic arm: The end can be equipped with a gripper to control switches, buttons, and valves, and can also be equipped with a self-developed stylus to click on the screen. High-performance chassis: The wheel hub motor has sufficient power, a unique suspension system, and large-size universal casters, allowing the chassis to perform well in both obstacle crossing and slope climbing.

Finally, in terms of technical advantages, scanning environment technology: laser SLAM technology is the main and visual SLAM is the auxiliary. There are two charging modes: manual and automatic.

Manual charging: The discharge interface on the charging pile and the power input interface on the robot are used to achieve charging through the matching interface wires.

Automatic charging: When the robot is low on power, it will automatically walk to the vicinity of the charging pile, and then use close-range secondary positioning to accurately connect the robot and the charging and discharging module of the charging pile. The background system can store and access multiple routes. Enter the route name set in advance in the computer background and select different routes.

OCR data recognition The data algorithm recognition and processing of each captured picture is within 2 seconds. If there is overheating/overload during charging: the computer has an alarm pop-up window, and the field robot can sound an alarm. When encountering obstacles, the robot's obstacle avoidance method is: a: Long-term obstacles, such as pipes, cabinets, walls, etc., have been recorded in the map when using laser SLAM scanning to build maps. In the subsequent inspection routes, they will be avoided and bypassed. b: Temporary obstacles, the robot will determine whether it can be bypassed. If it cannot be bypassed from the side, it will choose to go to the next inspection point that does not pass this location. c: Sudden obstacles, the robot will first stop urgently, and then determine whether it can be bypassed.
