[Repost] Introduction to the application of hard-flex PCB
[Copy link]
Rigid-flex PCB is a new type of printed circuit board that has both the durability of rigid PCB and the adaptability of flexible PCB. Among all types of PCB, rigid-flex has the strongest resistance to harsh application environments, so it is favored by industrial control, medical, and military equipment manufacturers. The rigid-flex PCB factories in the mainland are also gradually increasing the proportion of rigid-flex PCB in the total output. 1. Industrial use - Industrial use includes hard-flex boards used in industry, military and medical applications. Most industrial parts require precision, safety and resistance to damage. Therefore, the characteristics required for hard-flex boards are: high reliability, high precision, low impedance loss, complete signal transmission quality and durability. However, due to the high complexity of the process, the output is small and the unit price is quite high. 2. Mobile phones - Common applications of hard and soft boards in mobile phones include the hinge of foldable mobile phones, image modules, keypads, and RF modules. 3. Consumer electronics - Among consumer products, DSC and DV are representative of the development of hard and soft boards, which can be discussed in terms of performance and structure. In terms of performance, hard and soft boards can connect different PCB hard boards and components in three dimensions, so the total area of PCB can be increased under the same line density, which can relatively increase its circuit carrying capacity and reduce the signal transmission limit of the contact and the assembly error rate. On the other hand, because hard and soft boards are lighter and thinner, they can bend and wire, so they are of substantial help in reducing volume and weight. 4. Automobile - The use of soft and hard boards in automobiles is often used for buttons connecting the motherboard on the steering wheel, connections between the car video system screen and the control panel, operation connections of the audio or function keys on the side doors, reversing radar imaging systems, sensors (sensors, including air quality, temperature and humidity, special gas regulation, etc.), car communication systems, satellite navigation, boards for connecting the rear seat control panel and the front controller, and external detection systems.
