On October 29, according to a news release from Pudong, the Humanoid Robot and Embodied Intelligence Innovation Forum was held in Shanghai yesterday. The National and Local Co-built Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, together with leading companies and institutions in the industry, jointly released the first national humanoid robot embodied intelligence standards - "Humanoid Robot Classification and Grading Application Guidelines" and "Embodied Intelligence Intelligentization Level Grading Guidelines".

The "Guidelines for the Classification, Grading and Application of Humanoid Robots" defines the general, structural and intelligent terms related to humanoid robots, provides guidance for classification from the aspects of structural appearance, movement mode, and intelligent model, and divides humanoid robots into four technical levels, L1-L4, based on embodied intelligence, lower limb movement, upper limb operation, and application environment as grading factors (the detailed standards have not yet been made public, the same below).

The "Guidelines for the Grading of Intelligent Levels of Embodied Intelligence" stipulates the basis for the classification of intelligence levels in the field of embodied intelligence technology. It adopts the grading principles of system functionality, autonomy, and generalization, and uses core capabilities such as perception, cognition, decision-making, and autonomy as grading elements. The intelligence levels are divided into five stages from basic to advanced intelligence levels, G1-G5.

More than 50 leading humanoid robot companies and research institutes across the country jointly launched the initiative of "Co-building an Embodied Intelligence Corpus Data Ecosystem" and held a signing ceremony for the "Letter of Intent for Embodied Intelligence Corpus Operation Cooperation".
