Perhaps the high-tech Spring Festival Gala caught people's attention, and the ratings of the Dragon Year Spring Festival Gala hit a new high. According to statistics, as of 24:00 on February 9, the number of users of CCTV's Dragon Year Spring Festival Gala live broadcast was 679 million, and the number of live broadcasts was 1.501 billion, an increase of 12.69% over the same period last year. The number of vertical screen Spring Festival Gala live broadcasts was 420 million, an increase of 57.58% over the same period last year; the number of live broadcast users reached 250 million, an increase of 37.97% over the same period last year.
Liaoning is the "cradle of heavy industry" and "eldest son of the Republic" of New China. Countless industrial firsts of New China were born here. Shenyang is the capital city of Liaoning Province and one of the venues for CCTV's Spring Festival Gala in the Year of the Dragon. Industrial elements are of course indispensable, and even the stage was chosen in the old workshop of the Shenyang China Industrial Museum.
The eight Chinese red industrial robots that performed their “porcelain work” on the Spring Festival Gala are the pride of Liaoning’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry. They come from Shenyang’s local enterprise Shenyang Siasun Robot Automation Co., Ltd. (referred to as Siasun Robot).
Siasun Robotics was founded in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in April 2000. In October 2009, Siasun Robotics was listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, becoming one of the first batch of listed stocks on the Growth Enterprise Market and one of the earliest listed robot companies.
The heavy-duty industrial robot that made its debut at CCTV's Spring Festival Gala is a multifunctional intelligent robot and spot welding "expert" product that embodies Siasun's many years of technical experience. It has achieved a milestone breakthrough in the high-end application of domestic industrial robots in automotive spot welding and has been applied in batches on the welding and assembly lines of high-end automotive models.
Liaoning Daily reported the behind-the-scenes story of SIASUN Robots’ appearance on the Spring Festival Gala. When the director team of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala Shenyang branch came to SIASUN for research and proposed to integrate industrial robot arms into the performance, SIASUN resolutely took on this glorious and arduous task. Zhao Xisheng, senior director of the Intelligent Equipment Division, formed this Spring Festival Gala team.
It is not an easy task to show off beautifully in the Spring Festival Gala. Unlike working on a production line, this performance requires a heavy-duty robot to undertake two program tasks. One is to hold a huge display screen to perform demonstration actions, and the other is to hold nearly 200 kilograms of lighting equipment to show lighting effects at different angles and postures. At the same time, it is also necessary to solve problems such as the lack of interaction between the robotic arm and the actors, and the mismatch between the robot's beat and the melody of the song.
Judging from the stage effects, SIASUN completed the performance task perfectly. The eight robots worked in unison and cooperated with the actors' wonderful performances, making this a feast of science and technology Spring Festival Gala.
In fact, this is not the first time that Siasun has appeared in a large-scale event.
At the closing ceremony of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in South Korea, 24 SIASUN mobile robots interacted precisely with dancers and performed the show "Beijing 8 Minutes", showing the world a rapidly developing, technologically responsible, and open-minded contemporary China; in 2019, at the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, SIASUN robots and two young performers teamed up to play the classic song "My Motherland and I".
In August 2022, General Secretary Xi Jinping, accompanied by then Liaoning Provincial Party Secretary Zhang Guoqing and Governor Li Lecheng, visited Shenyang for an inspection and research. On the afternoon of the 17th, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to Shenyang Siasun Robot Automation Co., Ltd., listened to the overall situation of Liaoning's new era of Northeast revitalization, inspected the concentrated display of Liaoning's advanced scientific and technological products, and inspected Siasun's production, operation, and independent innovation.
In the company's production workshop, industrial robots, collaborative robots , special robots , etc. are being tested. General Secretary Xi asked the technical staff and employees about the company's core technology research and development, affirmed the company's achievements in independent innovation and industrial development, and said that Siasun Company embodies China's speed and level.
As of now, Siasun has not released its 2023 performance forecast, and the 2023 annual report is scheduled to be released on April 19, 2024. According to the 2023 Q3 financial report, from January 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023, the company's net profit attributable to the parent company was -79571045.37, a year-on-year increase of 61.29%, and is recovering steadily.
