Today we will discuss the stability of the power amplifier.

The stability of an amplifier refers to whether the output signal can remain stable and consistent under different working conditions. A good amplifier should have good stability to ensure that the output signal will not mutate or become unstable. The HMAUDIO CA series amplifiers are a good example of the stability of an amplifier.

During visits to Huiming's R&D center, testing center, production product control and other links, we found that the CA series amplifiers have put in sufficient effort in product design, testing plans, reliability testing, stability testing, quality control, etc.

In addition to paying attention to the performance indicators (power, sensitivity, distortion, signal-to-noise ratio, etc.) of the CA series professional amplifiers, we have conducted high and low voltage tests, withstand voltage tests, grounding tests, ESD static tests, high and low temperature tests, and life tests in response to climate and environmental factors. For transportation and use, we have conducted destructive mechanical tests such as vibration tests and drop tests. We attach great importance to the reliability of our products to ensure that the products can cope with different working environments and different sudden and destructive situations, and can still work normally and maintain a long life. Comprehensive reliability tests and rigorous production and quality control processes ensure the stability and reliability of the CA series amplifiers in many aspects.

Voltage test, grounding test, static electricity test

Using a programmable power supply device, set the high voltage and low voltage respectively, and the amplifier continued to work for 8 hours. In addition, the power amplifier was tested for withstand voltage, grounding and static electricity using a withstand voltage tester, grounding tester, static electricity tester and multimeter. All equipment tests were normal without any abnormalities.

High and low temperature test

The power amplifier was placed in a constant temperature and humidity chamber, and different temperature and humidity conditions were set. After the power amplifier worked at full load and full power for 8 consecutive hours, the equipment was normal.

Similarly, the amplifier was placed in a constant temperature and humidity chamber with different temperature and humidity conditions set. After static storage for 24 hours, it was restored to normal temperature for 2 hours and then tested. The equipment was found to be normal after power-on testing.

No matter what the conditions are: high temperature working/high temperature storage/low temperature working/low temperature storage, ensure that the power amplifier can work normally and stably in extreme environments (different temperatures -5℃ to 90℃/different humidity).

Vibration Testing

Fasten the unpackaged/packaged amplifier (not connected to the power supply) on the vibration table respectively, without vibration-damping feet, handles or other buffering devices, so that the exciting force is directly transmitted to the amplifier. Set different vibration frequencies and rates, and conduct an 8-hour vibration test. After the test is completed, there is no abnormality in the appearance and structure of the amplifier, no internal components have fallen off, and the amplifier power-on test function is normal.

Drop test

Using the lifting device and the release device, the packaged amplifier is dropped at different drop heights (20-30-40-50-60-80CM) to test the surface, corners and edges of the whole machine. After the test, unpack and check that the appearance of the equipment is normal, the internal components are not falling off, the power is on and it works normally, and there is no abnormality in the sound.

Aging test

Self-developed aging test system, the power amplifier is placed on the aging rack, after 8 hours of full-load aging, the performance test meets the standards, the equipment is normal, without any abnormalities.

Life test

In a normal working environment, a complete sound reinforcement system is built, and the power amplifier is tested at full power in different working modes (stereo bridge without load). It is monitored by a pink noise signal generator and an oscilloscope, and a life test of up to 30×8 hours is carried out. Reliability tests are carried out on the vulnerable components of the power amplifier, such as potentiometers, switches, capacitors, resistors, etc. The long life of the power amplifier is ensured in all aspects. There is no problem with a normal service life of more than 10 years.
