In almost any circuit design, you may use an LDO (low dropout linear regulator) device.
Although LDO is not a high-performance IC, the LDO chip market is extremely competitive. In recent years, more and more high-quality domestic LDOs have been born, which makes people dazzled.
Industry insiders once said that there are three main criteria for evaluating a high-performance LDO chip: one is the power supply's noise suppression ratio, the second is the LDO's own output noise and its transient response capability to load changes, and the third is whether the temperature drift is small enough in high-precision sensor applications.
However, paper parameters are one thing, and actual use is another, so we would like to invite engineers to talk about which LDO chips they have actually used and which ones are very powerful. Next, let's take a look at the specific LDO chips.
LDO with consistent acclaim
The Lixin Microelectronics ET631XX is recommended by editors and engineers alike and is designed for portable battery-powered applications that require ultra-low quiescent current. The ultra-low power consumption of 0.6uA ensures long battery life. The dynamic transient boost function improves the device transient response for wireless communication applications. The device is available in a small 1x1mm DFN4 or SOT23-5 package.
The reasons why engineers recommend it include the following: 1. Low voltage drop: The internal resistance of ET631 is small, and the input and output voltage difference is low, which can minimize the loss of energy transmission, thereby improving conversion efficiency, and also reducing chip temperature and power consumption. 2. High PSRR: The high PSRR (power supply rejection ratio) of ET631 can effectively suppress the clutter and noise in the power supply, thereby improving the performance and signal quality of the system. 3. Low noise: ET631 adopts "ultra-low noise" technology, which can control the noise of the output voltage and reduce the power source wave noise, improving the signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic performance of the system. 4. High accuracy: The output voltage accuracy of ET631 is high, with an error of less than 1%, and the unique adjustment circuit design makes it have good linearity and temperature drift performance. 5. Rich protection functions: ET631 has built-in thermal shutdown, short circuit protection, undervoltage protection and other protection circuits to effectively protect the safety and stability of the chip. Lixinwei's low-dropout voltage regulator ET631 has the advantages of low voltage drop, high PSRR, low noise, high precision and rich protection functions. It is widely used in power management systems such as mobile phones, tablets and laptops, providing electronic devices with stable and high-performance power supply, which is conducive to improving the efficiency and reliability of the system.
Engineers believe that Wuxi Lixinwei LDO and other chips are supplied to Samsung, with huge shipments and have been tested by the market, and are worth recommending. The product has an input voltage of 2.2-5.5V and an output voltage of 1.1-3.6V (0.05V STEPS).
An engineer emphasized, "ET631xx is really easy to use, with a wide input range, high output voltage accuracy, and high adjustable range accuracy. It has low static power consumption and is very suitable for portable devices."
High Efficiency and Precision LDO
The SY6345AAC from Silergy Semiconductor has received much editor and industry praise as a high efficiency, precision LDO designed for high input voltage and ultra-low quiescent current applications. The SY6345 offers +/-2% adjustable output voltage accuracy and very low voltage drop (300mV at 300mA). Other features include operational stability with low ESR ceramic or tantalum capacitors due to optimized internal compensation, over-current protection and thermal shutdown. The SY6345 is available in a SOT23-5 package.
The main reason why engineers recommend SY6345 is that it is a highly efficient and accurate LDO designed for high input voltage and ultra-low quiescent current applications. It has been used in large quantities in low-cost LED power supplies before, and it is very effective in reducing output current ripple in solutions without high voltage and large capacitors.
Many engineers believe that Silergy is the main force of quality assurance in the domestic emerging market in recent years, with attractive prices, and has used SY6345 and DC-DC, with timely market delivery rate, and is worth using.
Silergy SY6345 is an efficient and accurate LDO (Low Dropout Linear Regulator), which combines high precision, wide voltage input range, low quiescent current and low ripple, providing a stable and reliable power solution for various applications. Its excellent performance and stability make SY6345 widely applicable and competitive in the market.
Some engineers also said that in addition to Silergy's SY6345, they have also used SY8120 in batches, which is very stable and reliable.
Ultra-low noise, low dropout LDO
The TPL8032 from SiRuiPu Microelectronics has also been recognized by editors and engineers. This product is a 300 mA high PSRR, ultra-low noise, low dropout linear regulator with a wide input voltage range of 20 volts. The TPL8032 series supports two voltage output ranges, adjustable output voltage range from 1.22 V to 18 V, with an external resistor divider, fixed output voltage from 1.5 V to 5 V. The TPL8032 series has 2.2μF to 100μF ceramic output capacitors.
The reason why engineers recommend it is that TPL8032 has excellent noise suppression ability and can provide stable output voltage in various applications. At the same time, its low voltage drop design allows it to maintain good working efficiency even when the input voltage is low.
In addition, the TPL8032 package is relatively small, but the output current is relatively large, which is very suitable for products with limited circuit board space. The chip output voltage is adjustable from 1.22V to 18V, with high flexibility and good transient response, which is more suitable for powering ICs. At the same time, the chip itself integrates over-current protection, output short-circuit protection, and over-temperature protection, which greatly enhances the robustness of the chip and improves the reliability of the product. When powering external loads, it avoids IC damage caused by output short circuits.
An engineer emphasized, "TPL8032 has excellent noise suppression and a very wide input voltage and output voltage range. It is very suitable for power supply designs with high noise requirements. The industrial-grade operating temperature can adapt to a variety of harsh conditions and is worth recommending."
Simple is beautiful
Blue Arrow Electronics BRCO7533T is a popular chip among engineers. According to the recommendation of engineers, this chip is simple and has a wide input voltage range, so it is very popular. The most important thing, of course, is its price, which is about 0.24 to 0.38 yuan per piece.
The main features of BRCO7533T are low power consumption, low voltage drop, small temperature drift coefficient, high input voltage up to 30V, quiescent current 2.5μA, output voltage accuracy: ±3%. Halogen-free product. Can be used in various power supply equipment, communication equipment, audio and video equipment.
