However, in recent years, Japan has vigorously promoted the development of solid-state batteries and has also provided many supporting policies, which is quite surprising. Toyota, which we are more familiar with, has also achieved relatively obvious results in the field of solid-state batteries. Looking into the reasons, we can actually find that Japanese car companies are not uninterested in electric vehicles, but they are not very interested in power batteries, which are not mature in technology at present, and have turned their attention to hydrogen fuel cells.
However, after solid-state batteries showed obvious advantages, many Japanese companies began to turn to the research and development of solid-state batteries. The Japanese Lithium-ion Battery Material Evaluation Research Center has also been committed to the research of block batteries, and believes that all-solid-state batteries have the characteristics of not easy to catch fire and high safety, which is very attractive to them. More importantly, as a country with scarce resources, solid-state batteries can also be used as large batteries to store electricity and can become power stations in emergencies. This is something that Japan attaches great importance to. Therefore, there is now a phenomenon that Japanese automakers such as Toyota are fully committed to the development of solid-state batteries.
