According to foreign media reports, Israeli startup InfiniDome has signed a $500,000 (about 3.5126 million RMB) agreement with French conglomerate Orolia to promote a GPS-based cyberattack defense system. InfiniDome has developed and manufactured the world's first solution for protecting non-military GPS. Currently, there are some military solutions on the global market for protecting GPS-based systems, which cost more than $20,000, and the size and weight of such solutions make them unsuitable for commercial or light security applications. However, the system provided by InfiniDome is a small module weighing less than 200 grams and costs less than $2,000.

GPS-based systems are widely used in defense and civilian applications to provide positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) capabilities. GPS systems are widely used in vehicles or mobile devices, but they can be easily blocked by GPS jammers, which can be purchased by anyone from AliExpress for a few dozen dollars. In addition, critical infrastructure organizations such as banks or utilities also rely on GPS-based synchronization systems and are also vulnerable to attacks. This situation has led to a market valuation of GPS defense systems reaching $3.8 billion in 2018 and is expected to grow to $5.5 billion by 2023.
Experts in the field predict that the increasing use of GPS-based unmanned systems (drones, self-driving cars, etc.) will also lead to an increase in the demand for anti-interference equipment.
InfinDome was founded by Omer Sharar, Ehud Sharar (both of whom are dedicated to designing GPS-based synchronization solutions for the security and commercial fields), Moshe Kaplan (Lieutenant Colonel of the Israeli Air Force) and an Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer from Tadiran Systems and ELTA. Omer, Ehud and Moshe realized that there was no civilian solution to protect against GPS jamming, and all critical applications rely on GPS-based systems, and ensuring the security of such applications cannot adopt expensive military solutions designed for fighter jets.
After the company was founded, the founders joined the iHLS Security Accelerator, a startup accelerator program focused on defense, HLS, and dual-use technologies. So far, the company has raised $10 million from a private angel investor and Luxembourg boutique investment fund Boundary Holding.1.5 million US dollars (approximately 10.5377 million RMB).
Omer Sharar said that at present, the company is focused on three areas: first, drone defense, the system has been integrated into about 50 drones guarding Israel's borders; second, truck fleet defense, mainly in the Latin American market, where the theft of truck cargo by simply jamming the truck's GPS system has caused tens of billions of dollars in economic losses; third, critical infrastructure, such as banks, data centers and utilities such as power companies.
