April 17, 2023 – Mouser Electronics, a leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor™ focused on driving industry innovation, is now stocking Infineon’s EZ-PD™ PMG1-B1 USB Type-C™ microcontroller. The EZ-PD PMG1-B1 microcontroller provides engineers with an integrated single-chip solution for high-voltage USB-C applications that require a flexible and secure MCU and reduced bill of materials, such as power tools, small appliances, e-bikes, and more.
The EZ-PD PMG1-B1 microcontrollers, available from Mouser Electronics, are highly integrated single-port USB-C Power Delivery (PD) solutions. These high-voltage, programmable USB power delivery systems feature an integrated Arm® Cortex® (-M0/M0+) processor, 128KB flash, 16KB RAM, and 32KB ROM, as well as analog and digital peripherals.
The EZ-PD PMG1-B1 also integrates buck-boost controllers. These controllers provide integrated gate drivers for the VBUS NFETs in the power path of charging applications while also providing hardware-controlled protection features on VBUS.
The EZ-PD PMG1-B1 supports a wide input voltage range (4V to 24V with a tolerance of 40V) and a programmable switching frequency (150kHz to 600kHz) in an integrated USB power device solution. The EZ-PD PMG1-B1 also features an integrated hardware encryption engine with a vector unit, an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, and an operating junction temperature of +125°C.
