The MAX9586–MAX9589 are small, low-power multichannel video amplifiers with integrated reconstruction filters and input clamps. They are particularly suitable for standard-definition video signals and can be widely used in devices such as TVs and set-top boxes.

  The video signal from the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) can be AC-coupled to the input of the MAX9586–MAX9589. An external video signal with an unknown DC bias level can also be AC-coupled to the input of the MAX9586–MAX9589. The DC level of the composite video and luminance signals can be set by the input sync-tip clamp circuit, while the DC level of the chrominance signals can be set by the input bias circuit.

  The reconstruction filter has ±1dB flatness (typical) over an 8.5MHz passband and 55dB attenuation at 27MHz. The amplifier has a gain of 2V/V and its output can be DC coupled into a 75Ω load (equivalent to two video loads) or AC coupled into a 150Ω load.

  The MAX9586–MAX9589 operate from a single 2.7V to 3.6V supply and are specified over the -40°C to +125°C automotive temperature range. The MAX9586–MAX9589 are available in small SOT23 and µMAX® packages.
