The ADMP405 is a high quality, low cost, low power, analog output, bottom-firing omnidirectional MEMS microphone. It consists of a MEMS microphone element, an impedance converter, and an output amplifier. It has excellent sensitivity characteristics, making it an excellent choice for near-field and far-field applications. The ADMP405 has a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and a flat wideband frequency response, which can produce highly intelligible natural sound. A specially designed low frequency cutoff function reduces wind noise. The low power consumption feature extends battery life in portable applications. A built-in particulate filter improves the reliability of the device. The ADMP405 meets the TIA-920 standard: Transmission requirements for broadband digital wireline telephones for telecommunications telephone terminal equipment.
The ADMP405 is available in an ultra-small 3.35 mm × 2.50 mm × 0.88 mm surface-mount package that can be reflow soldered without loss of sensitivity. The ADMP405 is halogen-free.
