Recently, according to foreign media reports, Micron Technology CEO and President Sanjay Mehrotra revealed in a financial analyst conference call for the third quarter of fiscal year 2021 that the company will introduce extreme ultraviolet lithography machines and deploy them at some process nodes in 2024.
In fact, Micron Technology has previously stated that they will introduce extreme ultraviolet lithography machines. Sanjay Mehrotra mentioned at the meeting that they have repeatedly stated that when they believe that the extreme ultraviolet lithography machine platform and ecosystem have become more mature, they will introduce extreme ultraviolet lithography machines at the appropriate time.
It is worth noting that Micron Technology is not the first memory chip manufacturer to introduce extreme ultraviolet lithography machines. SK Hynix has already deployed extreme ultraviolet lithography machines in their M16 factory and started trial production of 1anm DRAM in February, and is expected to start mass production in July this year.
