EtherCAT® servo slave solution helps improve the efficiency of industrial control
In the development process of Industry 4.0, the manufacturing industry is moving steadily towards intelligence, networking and automation, and the demand for efficient and reliable communication technology is becoming more and more urgent. EtherCAT® (Ethernet for Control Automation Technology), as a real-time industrial fieldbus communication protocol based on Ethernet, can provide nanosecond-level precise synchronization, which is crucial for servo drive systems. Servo drive systems usually need to accurately coordinate the movements of each axis, and EtherCAT® can ensure that each servo axis synchronously receives and executes control instructions in a very short time, thereby realizing fast and precise synchronous movement of multi-axis servo drives, thereby improving production efficiency and optimizing mechanical performance.
The servo slave system solution launched by GigaDevice is based on the GD32H75E series ultra-high-performance industrial interconnection MCU with Cortex®-M7 core, and integrates the ESC (EtherCAT® SubDevice Controller) module. The system uses the standard CIA402 protocol and performs real-time control through TwinCAT. The solution supports multiple working modes such as profile position mode (PP), 30 origin return modes (HM), and cyclic synchronous position mode (CSP). The built-in HPDF module and external sigma-delta modulator can realize in-line current sampling, which not only helps to improve the motor control performance, but also ensures reliability and stability under complex working conditions. The solution can be widely used in CNC lathes, robots, automated production lines, robotic arms and other application fields.

3.5kW DC charging pile and portable bidirectional energy storage solution help optimize energy efficiency
With the transformation of the global energy structure and the rapid development of the new energy vehicle market, the digital energy industry has ushered in a new era of rapid development. Against this background, GigaDevice has launched a 3.5kW DC charging pile and portable bidirectional energy storage inverter solution based on the GD32G5 series high-performance MCU to meet the market's urgent demand for efficient, intelligent and environmentally friendly energy use.
As the control brain of the DC charging pile, the MCU can accurately control the output of the charging pile, convert the grid voltage into DC voltage, charge new energy electric vehicles, and ensure the efficiency and safety of the charging process. GigaDevice's 3.5kW DC charging pile solution based on the GD32G5 series high-performance MCU uses a single MCU chip to control a two-stage topology (front-stage single-phase totem pole PFC and rear-stage full-bridge LLC), where the switching frequency of PFC is 70kHz and the switching frequency of LLC is 94kHz~300kHz. The input voltage of the solution is 220V (±10%)/50Hz, and the maximum effective value of the input current is 17A; the output voltage is 250VDC~450VDC, supporting trickle, constant current and constant voltage charging. The solution achieves a system peak efficiency of 96.2%, a PF of 0.999, and a THD of 2.7%, which can meet the stringent requirements of current electric vehicle charging applications.

At the same time, GigaDevice also launched a portable bidirectional energy storage inverter solution. The solution uses AC power from the power grid to charge the battery so that the energy stored in the battery can be output and supplied to electrical equipment in power outages or outdoor scenarios. For this solution, users can choose to use the new GD32G5 series high-performance MCU or GD32E5 series MCU as the main control unit. The solution is controlled by two MCUs with a three-level architecture, including LLC, Buck/Boost and inverter/PFC. Among them, the switching frequency of LLC is 100kHz, and the switching frequencies of Boost/Buck and inverter/PFC are both 20kHz. In the grid-connected charging mode, the solution can convert 220VAC mains voltage into 24V DC voltage for constant current or constant voltage charging of the battery pack, with a maximum power of 500W; in the off-grid power supply mode, the 20~27.2V battery voltage can be inverted into 220VAC mains voltage, with a maximum power of 1kW. This solution can be widely used in a variety of scenarios such as outdoor camping, aerial photography, mobile office, emergency charging, emergency rescue, and medical rescue.
In addition, GigaDevice also exhibited key solutions in the fields of GUI graphics display, AI, wireless connectivity, information security and functional safety. GigaDevice has been rooted in the industrial and digital energy markets for many years. Its rich product categories can continue to provide support for market applications with its enhanced processing performance and diverse resources. Its diverse and complete industry solutions can meet customer needs in one stop and help customers achieve agile development.
Working together with industry partners, many innovative solutions are presented
At this conference, several GigaDevice partners also launched new solutions based on GD32 MCU. Among them, Shenzhen China Power Port Technology Co., Ltd. brought an industrial and commercial energy storage BMS solution based on GD32F527/GD32VW553. The solution is technologically advanced, fully functional, safe and reliable. It adopts automatic addressing technology, flexible and scalable architecture, supports multiple local or cloud upgrade methods, and can flexibly adjust the battery intelligent balancing strategy according to different operating conditions through algorithms. The solution is equipped with a multi-level fault protection mechanism and a two-level data storage mechanism to ensure the stable operation of the system and the security of data. Based on this solution, customers can also carry out secondary development according to their own specific needs. This high degree of flexibility greatly shortens the development time and is expected to save customers at least six months of development cycle. The solution covers a wide range of application scenarios, whether it is a large-scale energy storage system, such as photovoltaic energy storage, wind energy storage, base station energy storage, or a small energy storage device, such as home energy storage, portable energy storage, vehicle-mounted energy storage, UPS, etc., can be perfectly adapted.

At the same time, GigaDevice's partner Navitas Semiconductor launched a new CRPS185 4.5kW AI data center server power solution. Relying on GigaDevice's GD32G553 high-performance MCU, Navitas GaNSafe™ high-power gallium nitride power chip, and GeneSiC™ third-generation fast silicon carbide power device, the solution demonstrates excellent performance with an ultra-high power density of 137W/in³ and an efficiency of over 97%. The solution adopts a two-stage solution of interleaved parallel totem pole PFC and high-frequency full-bridge LLC. Among them, the interleaved parallel totem pole PFC can achieve excellent digital control by carrying the LQFP48 GD32G553CET7 model; the 300kHz high-frequency full-bridge LLC uses the LQFP128 GD32G553QET7 model. In addition to being able to achieve precise control of the high-frequency LLC, it can also achieve timing control of the power supply and has communication functions with I2C/PMbus, etc.
