The opening of the new plant will enhance the local production capacity of key components for new energy vehicles to meet the growing market demand


On October 16, 2024, the third phase of the Taicang branch of Bosch's joint venture United Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "United Electronics") officially opened, which will further expand the production capacity of electric bridges and motors in China. Next year, the second-generation electric bridge will be put into mass production here. The second-generation electric bridge will be upgraded in many aspects such as efficiency, power density, user experience and functional integration.

On October 17, 2024, Bosch's new energy vehicle core components and autonomous driving R&D and manufacturing base in Suzhou was officially completed and put into use. The new base is located in Suzhou Industrial Park, with a total area of ​​about 300,000 square meters, and will focus on the research and development and manufacturing of core components for new energy vehicles. The base was laid in March last year, and plans to invest a total of about RMB 7 billion in the next few years, and will officially start mass production in the second half of 2024.


Deepen layout and accelerate transformation of China's commercial vehicles


In order to seize the opportunities of technological and industrial transformation, Bosch reorganized its commercial vehicle and off-road businesses, and the new business structure will be officially operational in January 2025. For the Chinese market, Bosch is committed to providing knowledge-based full-stack technology solutions for commercial vehicles, covering diversified power, intelligent chassis, commercial vehicle assisted driving and other fields. On October 16, 2024, Bosch signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Wuxi High-tech Zone to further deepen the development of commercial vehicle business in Wuxi and jointly build the Future Commercial Vehicle Innovation Park. As the China headquarters of Bosch's commercial vehicle business, its functions will cover R&D, product testing, sales, etc.
