As an important milestone in its 40 years of development in China, Applied Materials held the "Applied Materials China Headquarters Celebration Ceremony" today in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong New District, Shanghai . Gary Dickerson, President and CEO of Applied Materials, and global management executives, Yao Gongda, Vice President of Applied Materials and President of Applied Materials China, as well as leaders and industry partners from all walks of life such as the Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association and Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Development Co., Ltd. witnessed the celebration ceremony.


Applied Materials is the first international semiconductor equipment company to enter China. At the celebration ceremony, Applied Materials reviewed the important business milestones since the opening of the Customer Service Support Center in Beijing in 1984, showing Applied Materials' 40 years of cooperation with domestic and foreign customers and partners, as well as its support for the sustainable development of the global chip industry.

The new headquarters building of Applied Materials China is located in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong New District, Shanghai. It is a 10-story stand-alone office building with a total area of ​​approximately 15,800 square meters. The new headquarters of Applied Materials China aims to create an intelligent, efficient and humanistic office space for employees. In addition, Applied Materials China will apply for the green building and urban certification system - LEED Gold and WELL Gold dual certification for the new headquarters building, which not only reflects Applied Materials' efforts to create a healthy and comfortable office environment for employees, but also supports the company's commitment to sustainable development. It is expected that the construction of the new headquarters building of Applied Materials China will be officially completed in March 2025, and the Shanghai headquarters employees will be officially relocated in the first half of the year.
