Shanghai, April 24, 2024 - As a professional and sustainable material solutions and service provider, Avant will participate in the 2024 China International Rubber and Plastics Exhibition (Chinaplas 2024) at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from April 23 to April 26, showcasing its advanced technologies for various plastic industries, including two newly launched products. These technologies can help designers, brands and manufacturers improve the performance and aesthetics of their products while achieving sustainable development goals.
Avant will exhibit the new OnColor™ nylon series of stable and durable orange solutions for high-voltage connectors in electric vehicles (EVs). This new orange formula helps to improve the long-term thermal stability of the orange color of warning orange polymers, adding another powerful member to Avant's OnColor™ series of products.
In addition, Avant also exhibited LubriOne™ wear-resistant self-lubricating formulations that do not contain polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and are being introduced to the Asian market. This type of product was first released in Europe in 2023. It does not contain fluorinated lubricants such as polytetrafluoroethylene, expanding Avant's LubriOne™ formulation product portfolio. They are suitable for a variety of polymer systems, including PA6, PA66, PC, POM, PBT, PPS and PK, and their performance is comparable to various traditional self-lubricating wear-resistant formulations.

Cesa™ Nox A4R Additives for Enhanced Recycling: Includes a range of specialized antioxidants that can be used to prevent oxidation of post-consumer recycled polyolefins, which can lead to defects such as black specks, gels, discoloration, etc. during processing and recycling.

reSound™ REC thermoplastic elastomer (TPE): Designed specifically for automotive interiors, it contains 55% post-consumer recycled content (PCR) and can replace standard-grade TPE without sacrificing performance indicators such as UV stability, low VOC content, low odor and low fogging. It is suitable for applications such as HVAC nozzles, interior floor mats and cup holders, making it more sustainable.

Versaflex™ TF hot melt adhesive thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) for textile fabrics: It is a cost-effective alternative to thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) films and traditional glues. It does not contain plasticizers, has a low VOC content, complies with the OEKO-TEX 100-2 test, and has excellent wash resistance at 60°C. It can be seamlessly and strongly bonded to polyester and nylon fabrics, providing excellent resilience and extremely high wearing comfort for target applications such as functional sportswear, fitness wear and underwear.

Syncure™ XLPE Silane Room Temperature Self-Crosslinking Polyethylene Formulations: A range of silane room temperature self-crosslinking polyethylene systems (XLPE) for wire insulation and cable jacketing that offer heat resistance, oil resistance, creep resistance, abrasion resistance, good low temperature performance, and excellent flame retardancy, meeting UL 44, UL 4703, and CSA 22.2 test certifications.

OnForce™ long glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic: Designed specifically for automotive pedals, it offers high dimensional stability, stiffness and flexibility, cyclic fatigue strength and long-term creep resistance, as well as excellent chemical and UV resistance, good colorability (including silver), and easy processing.

Bergamid™ FR halogen-free flame retardant nylon formulations: Designed specifically for high-voltage connectors, they combine the application flexibility of high-flow nylon in thin-wall designs with the sustainability of halogen-free flame retardant systems. Available in unfilled or reinforced PA6, PA66 and PA 6/66 grades, they meet UL 94 V0 and CTI 800+ rating standards.

Colorant Chromatics™ Transcend™ high-quality medical-grade colorants: Provides a variety of transparent/opaque high-temperature color solutions in pre-colored or masterbatch form, meets ISO 10993 and biocompatibility testing, and provides ultra-high heat resistance and excellent performance without safety.

Colorant Chromatics™ UV Laser Marking Technology for FEP: This UV marking technology provides better results than traditional and infrared marking methods, with permanent, clear, soft marks, high cost-effectiveness, and 60-80% contrast ratio, helping cable manufacturers meet aerospace industry standards.
