Recommendation 6: FL7730 Dimmable Single-Stage PFCPSR Offline LED Driver
FL7730MY is a highly integrated PWM controller that provides multiple features to enhance the performance of a single-stage flyback converter. The proprietary topology TRUECURRENT simplifies circuit design for LED lighting applications.
TRIAC lighting can be smoothly managed with lighting brightness control without jitter. By using a primary-side regulated single-stage topology, the LED lighting board can use fewer external components, thereby minimizing cost. It does not require an input buck capacitor or feedback circuit. To implement better power factor and lower total harmonic distortion, an external capacitor connected to the COMI pin is used for constant on-time control.
Precise constant current control can accurately control the output current compared to the change of input and output voltage. The operating frequency changes proportionally with the output voltage to ensure that the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) can operate more efficiently and its design is also simpler. FL7730MY provides protection functions such as open LED, short LED and over temperature protection. The current limit level is automatically reduced to minimize the output current to protect external components in the case of a short LED.
Recommendation 7: BP3309 primary side feedback single-stage active PFC LED driver chip
BP3309 is a single-stage, high-precision primary feedback LED constant current control chip with active power factor correction. It is suitable for flyback isolated LED constant current power supply with full range input voltage of 85Vac-265Vac. This controller integrates active power factor correction circuit to achieve high power factor and low total harmonic distortion. Because it works in the critical continuous mode of inductor current, the power MOS tube is in the zero current turn-on state, the switching loss is reduced, and the utilization rate of the transformer is also high.
Recommendation 8: SY5800AAC-DC full voltage LED lighting isolation driver chip
SY5800A is a single-stage PFC isolated LED constant current driver IC with primary side feedback, maximum power up to 60W, batch constant current accuracy can be controlled within 3%. It is widely used in high power fields such as LED panel lights and fluorescent lamps.

(1) The source-side feedback solution has a simplified circuit and the output current accuracy can reach 5%
(2) Built-in PFC circuit, power factor up to over 90%
(3) Using quasi-resonant technology, the chip output average efficiency reaches over 90%
(4) With open circuit and short circuit protection function
