New MicroSMP packaged FRED Pt® ultra-fast recovery rectifiers are available with higher power density and higher efficiency
Space-saving 200V devices are rated up to 2A in a compact 2.5mm x 1.3mm package with a height of only 0.65mm
The recently released device uses a smaller MicroSMP package with a typical current rating comparable to that of an SMA package, has a higher power density, and saves 57% of PCB space.
The VS-1EQH02HM3 and VS-2EQH02HM3 use an asymmetric design, with a large metal pad for heat dissipation, excellent thermal performance, and FRED Pt technology to achieve an ultra-fast recovery time of 13ns, Qrr
down
to 11nC, and soft recovery over the entire operating temperature range of -55°C to +175°C.
The rectifier is AEC-Q101 certified, with a forward voltage drop of 0.72V at 1A, effectively reducing power consumption and improving efficiency. It is suitable for high-frequency inverters, DC/DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and power factor correction circuits in automotive engine control units (ECUs), anti-lock braking systems (ABS), HID and LED lighting, communications and industrial power supplies.
The VS-1EQH02HM3 and VS-2EQH02HM3 meet J-STD-020 Level 1 moisture sensitivity level with a LF peak of +260°C. The devices are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and suitable for automated placement processing and automated optical inspection (AOI) in automotive systems.
Samples and production quantities of the new ultrafast recovery rectifier are available now, with lead times of eight weeks for large orders.
