Vishay announced new wireless charging transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) coils using iron powder material with moisture resistance up to 90% relative humidity. The Vishay Dale IWAS3222CZEB190JR1 , IWTX4646DCEB240JR1 , IWTX47R0DAEB6R3JR1 , and IWTX47R0EBEB240JR1 are suitable for industrial, medical, and consumer applications with power levels up to 30 W, operating at temperatures up to +105 ° C, and occupying a 25% smaller footprint than previous-generation devices and competitive solutions .

The device released today has high moisture resistance, and its special shielding coating provides excellent environmental protection. In addition, the back of the coil uses high saturation iron powder, which is not affected by temperature fluctuations and inductance drops common in ferrite solutions. The choice of back magnetic shielding material is critical because it can be used to increase the inductance of the coil, suppress electromagnetic field leakage, and maximize the directionality of the electromagnetic field .
The IWAS3222CZEB190JR1 Rx coil uses self-adhesive enameled wire, with an inductance of 19.6 mH at 200 kHz , a Q value of 28.5, and a DC resistance (DCR) of 357 mW .
