Vishay's New Aluminum Capacitors Offer Longer Life, Higher Ripple Current, and Lower Impedance
Recently, Vishay announced the launch of two new series of aluminum polymer capacitors using conductive technology - 180 CPS and 181 CPL. The Vishay BCcomponents 180 CPS and 181 CPL series devices are suitable for portable electronics, consumer and communication applications, and have higher ripple current, lower impedance and longer service life than standard aluminum capacitors.
The 180 CPS and 181 CPL series capacitors are available in case sizes ranging from 5.3mm x 5.3mm x 5.7mm to 10.4mm x 10.4mm x 12.6mm, with a life of 2500 hours and 5000 hours respectively at +105°C. The devices feature a ripple current of 6100mA and impedance as low as 9mΩ.
These surface mount capacitors are RoHS compliant and support automated pick and place and JEDEC compliant high temperature reflow soldering.
Samples and production quantities of the 180 CPS and 181 CPL are available now, with lead times of eight to ten weeks for larger orders.
