TE Connectivity releases annual corporate responsibility report detailing its sustainability progress

In its latest annual corporate responsibility report, TE Connectivity (hereinafter referred to as "TE"), a global industry technology leader in connectivity and sensing, details the significant achievements it has made in achieving its sustainability and social responsibility goals over the past year. progress .



TE's 'One Connected World' strategy guides our path to sustainable development. I am proud of what we have achieved so far and the smart strategies we have adopted to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Our strategies not only reduce carbon emissions, but also drive innovation and enable sustainability to empower business.



Since 2020, TE has reduced the company’s absolute direct Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 72%. In addition, TE has also committed to reducing "Scope 3" greenhouse gas emissions indirectly generated by its value chain: by 2032, reduce emissions by 30% compared to the 2022 baseline.


Some other noteworthy developments in this year’s report include:




  • Currently 77% of TE’s electricity consumption comes from renewable energy

  • Hazardous waste disposal volume reduced by 46% since 2021

  • Thirty factories located in water-scarce areas have reduced water consumption by 11% since 2021 and will further achieve the goal of reducing water consumption by 15%




  • Reached 4.2 million people since 2020 by supporting science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education programs

  • The proportion of female leaders increased to 28%

TE's greenhouse gas reduction goals have been recognized by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and will help combat global warming and avoid the most devastating impacts of climate change. SBTi is an initiative jointly launched by the CDP Global Environmental Information Research Center (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Develop emission reduction standards and define related best practices based on climate science.
