ams OSRAM launches new version of EVIYOS® multi-pixel LED

In 2023, amsosram officially launched the first generation of EVIYOS® multi-pixel LED designed specifically for adaptive high beam (ADB) and projector headlights, bringing a new experience for drivers when driving at night.

The cutting-edge technology EVIYOS® has been first applied to Volkswagen's Touareg and Tiguan models. The headlight systems of these models are carefully designed by Magneti Marelli. Each system integrates 19,200 precision pixels, and the EVIYOS® light source module itself can integrate up to 25,600 independently controllable pixels.

Smart headlights based on EVIYOS® technology greatly improve nighttime road visibility without dazzling oncoming drivers, significantly optimizing the nighttime driving experience. In addition, EVIYOS® LED also has the function of projecting symbols and images on the road surface, opening up new application prospects for communication between the vehicle and the external environment (mainly in safety warnings and the transmission of other information).

Since the introduction of this innovative technology, the automotive industry has been enthusiastic about it and is actively exploring how multi-pixel LEDs can lead Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) into a new era of lighting. The new generation of ADB headlights adds new functions to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and also provides automakers with more possibilities in the design and innovative styling of the front of the car.
