Against this background, a large number of private business entities outside the traditional aerospace industry have entered the aerospace industry and become the main force in a new round of economic growth through cooperation and direct participation.

In 2023, among all satellites launched globally, communication satellites will have the largest number, with 2,337 satellites. There are 236 remote sensing satellites. In addition to the generally large number of satellites in the three fields of traditional communications, navigation, and remote sensing, the number of scientific test satellites has reached 205 and the number of technical test satellites has reached 50.

Since 2020, human space technology verification satellites have remained at a high level every year. This reflects the progress of key technologies related to the aerospace industry on the ground. Capabilities that were unachievable in the past will become a reality step by step. On the basis of technology, aerospace Ecology is becoming within reach, which also means that the door to civil space is opening.

Among all communication satellites launched in 2023, 1,984 are Starlink satellites and 132 are OneNet communication constellation satellites. Low-orbit communication constellations are becoming a reality, and ground communication infrastructure has supported the 40-year prosperity of the global Internet and technology industries.

After 2030, Internet constellations will subvert the existing network ecology, and air-ground and air-space dual communications will promote the formation and maturity of the air-space ecology.

At the end of 2023, the global aerospace industry is showing a new trend. After the two test flights of the SpaceX starship demonstrated the stability and speed of technological progress, in the Western aerospace community, it basically took over the operation and research and development of launch vehicles, completing the handover of mission objectives from the state to private operations.

Therefore, according to the route, with the Artemis plan of the United States returning to the moon as the overall framework, Western Aerospace began to mobilize private forces to conduct application research and development at the space level.

Among them, CLPS (Commercial Lunar Payload Program) is an important and effective step. Under the framework of this plan, there will be a US$2.6 billion project by 2028, and 14 Western private aerospace suppliers will complete lunar exploration.

As of the end of February 2024, when the report is being written, two commercial lunar probes have been launched. Among them, Astrobotic's Peregrine lunar probe failed to land on the moon and the mission failed.

In addition to CLPS, Japan's iSpace Company's White Rabbit lunar probe, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency JAXA's SLIM lunar probe, India's Chandrayaan-3, and Russia's Lunar-25 are all involved in lunar exploration.

It can be said that with the advancement of technology, commercial tentacles will soon follow the development of the aerospace industry and involve the application of extraterrestrial objects.
