Introduction

Recently, the CSA Connectivity Standards Alliance and its members officially released the Matter 1.0 standard. As the most anticipated standard in the smart home field in recent years, Matter has received unanimous support from smart home giants such as Apple, Google, and Amazon. Its leap in interconnection, ease of use, and security may mark the beginning of a new era for smart homes.

As a promoter member of the CSA Alliance, TI has been fully committed to and actively participated in the development of the Matter standard from the beginning. TI has released a series of Matter-compliant hardware and software solutions in sync with the Matter 1.0 standard, providing a complete end-to-end Matter development platform to help manufacturers and end users achieve interconnection between smart homes. TI SimpleLink CC26xx and CC32xx series MCUs provide support for Matter over Thread and Matter over Wi-Fi respectively, and customers can develop a full set of Matter solutions based on TI's platform.
