[TI millimeter wave radar review] + unboxing photos + environment [Copy link]

Unboxing photos + environment

It's been a while since I received the development board, but I haven't posted anything yet. At the end of the year, the company was busy rehearsing for the annual meeting, so I'm a bit busy, so I'm only posting now. Well, without further ado, let's unbox and take a look at our board.

IWR1443Boost is a TI mmwave series microwave radar development board. The operating frequency is the mainstream frequency of automobiles, 77GHz. First is the exquisite packaging box IWR1443 Evaluation Module, millimeter wave sensor kit.

Open the box to find the board, screws, brackets, jumper caps, USB cables, and manuals.

The manual generally explains the main stages and interfaces of the board.

Next, let's take a look at the environment setup

First, go to the TI official website to download the development environment software CCS. I downloaded the latest CCS9. Here is the download address: http://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccs_downloads.html

Then here is the development board hardware information http://www.ti.com/cn/lit/df/sprr253/sprr253.zip

https://img-blog.csdnimg.cn/20181201231424302.png?x-oss-process=image/watermark,type_ZmFuZ3poZW5naGVpdGk,shadow_10,text_aHR0cHM6Ly9ibG9nLmNzZG4ubmV0L3FxXzI3MTU4MTc5,size_16,color_FF FFFF,t_70

Then you can use the browser to enter mmWave_Demo_Visualizer and directly view the data of the development board, which is equivalent to the host computer and mainly communicates through the serial port.

https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/mmwave/mmWave_Demo_Visualizer/ver/3.3.0/

However, for convenience, I still downloaded the software mmWave_Demo_Visualizer 2.1.0 locally for easy use. The interface is as shown below:

Then pull down to configure the serial port

Select the serial port number and the baud rate is the default.

Then you can see that there is data in the data window

Finally, click plot to see the interface.

That’s about it for today’s unboxing.

First of all, thank you for your reply. I bought AWR1443BOOST and downloaded mmWave Demo Visualizer V2.1.0 from the official website. It corresponds to the xWR14xx platform and the settings are correct.

After setting, it will keep showing "waiting for data"... What is the problem?
