Installation of TI C2000 Embedded Code Support Package in Matlab [Copy link]

The DSP code generation function has been cancelled in Matlab 2013 and later versions. If you want to use the DSP code generation function in versions after 2013, you need to install the corresponding hardware support package. The process of installing the hardware support package for Matlab 2017a is slightly different from that for 2016a. I encountered multiple problems when installing the hardware support package using Matlab 2017a, but the installation was successful in the end. First, you need to register a Mathworks account and log in during the installation process. There are two installation methods: offline installation and online installation. Offline installation requires an installation package, but for some reason, my installation package is invalid. I can only choose online installation.

I also encountered problems during online installation. Unlike 2016a, 2017a will pop up the Additional Function Explorer when obtaining the hardware support package, as shown in the figure below. But my Matlab cannot open the Additional Function Explorer. After updating the license file, the problem is solved. DSP code generation requires the installation of the following support package. It takes several attempts to connect successfully. I tried for a whole night and was about to give up, but suddenly I was able to connect and install successfully. The reason is unknown, so try a few more times. Finally, you need to configure the support package, refer to the 2016a version. The versions of CGT and controlSUITE are different from those when installing 2016a. After authentication, it may be risky to prompt that the CGT version is different. So if there is a problem, change CGT to version 6.4.6. Finally, the authentication is successful.
