Today I thought I should learn more about PCB design software, so I downloaded Autodesk EAGLE to try it out. 1. Installation: It was relatively smooth. I directly opened the file package Autodesk_EAGLE_9.3.0_English_Win_64bit.exe downloaded from the website.Installation was successful. 2. Start the trial. First, let's talk about the schematic. I opened a sample file and found that no matter what I clicked, a polyline operation would appear. It was very annoying. I chose an eye-like icon and clicked it a few times. The polyline operation disappeared. However, I couldn't perform any operation. 3. Created a new schematic, selected frame from the menu, drew a frame, and as long as you drag or click, the annoying polyline operation would appear! Forget it, it's very annoying. I don't know what's going on. 4. I opened a semi-finished PCB and started to lay out the electrical wires. As a result, the operation of drawing the fold line was always stuck. I selected the icon of connecting the electrical wires and started to lay out the electrical wires. As a result, only the corresponding pads were "highlighted" during the wiring, but you can "connect" any pad! FK! Ah. There is only a red shadow line prompt, but it will not lock the network! Moreover, you can draw at any angle when drawing the wire! 5. I wanted to try automatic wiring, but I didn't succeed after a long time! Summary: Delete it directly! I am so angry. The only thing that satisfies me is that the trial is free! For the rest, I really don't know how to do it. Although I don't know how to use PCB design software other than AD (I use the genuine AD, and I have received training from the manufacturer), but when I tried oracd and pads, I felt that they were OK, but I was not used to the operation. Only this software called EAGLE really annoys me! I hope that an expert can tell me where I am wrong!

It is not appropriate to use a conventional mindset to evaluate other software. I have been using Eagle, and it is the old version 4.16. KiCad is also free, you can pay attention to it.

Eagle is open source. If you have a basic knowledge of PCB layout and wiring or have drawn a board, it is very easy to switch to other tool software. After all, it is just a tool for drawing boards.

About nine months ago, I switched from AD to KiCad, and I was a little uncomfortable with it. I still get confused about the shortcut keys. From the beginning to the familiarity, and then to the proficiency (muscle memory), I think it will take at least a year and a half, and I use it every week.
