As a mainstream player in the foldable screen market, Samsung showed some expectations for the development of foldable screen devices at CES 2022, showing a total of three different devices .
Flex Note
The device expands the size of the folding screen to the size of a laptop screen. When folded, it is equivalent to a 13-inch laptop with some touch functions displayed below. When unfolded, it is equivalent to a 17-inch ultra-large tablet . We have seen this device in ASUS's Zenbook 17 Fold before.
Flex S/G
The device features a bi-fold or even tri-fold panel. The Flex S bi-fold panel folds in an “S” shape to expand the screen space. Users can use the device as a smartphone, tablet, or AI device.
Flex G is developed specifically for multi-fold products with an inward folding function . This unique "G"-shaped panel protects the display from external impact or scratches, and also makes the device more portable because it can be folded twice.
Flex Slidable
As the name suggests, Flex Slidable is a side-sliding scroll screen . By pressing the button on the border, the screen will slide and expand from the right side of the body. It can display the side App bar or be used as a pure content expansion.
IT Home learned that Samsung previously announced that sales of the Galaxy Z series will exceed 8 million units in 2021. Industry tracking agency Counterpoint Research previously estimated that this year's foldable smartphone market will triple from 2020, and Samsung will dominate the market with a 75% market share by 2023.
