Domestic media reported that recently a netizen posted a message saying that ByteDance will adopt a 10-7-5 work system, that is, starting work at 10 am and leaving get off work at 7 pm, working 5 days a week. The netizen said that ByteDance needs to submit an application for overtime after 19:00 on weekdays, and the minimum overtime that can be applied for is 0.5 hours.
In this regard, someone claiming to be a ByteDance employee said that the company's overtime system has indeed updated the function of overtime on weekdays. Feishu has also updated a document on overtime regulations in mainland China, with clear details on overtime: working hours are from 10 am to 7 pm. However, there has been no official announcement yet, and employees have not received any emails.
ByteDance sent an email to all employees in August, announcing that it would cancel the arrangement of working on alternate Sundays starting from August 1, 2021. Starting in August, teams and individuals in need can submit overtime applications through the system.
If Internet companies start to inflate working hours and return to a 40-hour work week, it can be considered a change for the better. As for the so-called 996 being a blessing, it is better to say less about it in the future.
According to foreign media reports, in order to avoid chip shortages and subsequent shortages, Samsung has begun mass production of components for the upcoming Galaxy S22 series.
WinFuture's report pointed out that the flexible cables for the internal circuit boards of the Galaxy S22 are under production. These components are suitable for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra. They have been produced as planned since mid-last week, and mass production has reached tens of thousands of units.
However, the report pointed out that the production encountered some quality control problems, but the problem did not cause a devastating blow to Samsung's mass production process. It is reported that the components of the three Galaxy S22 series are being produced simultaneously and are expected to be officially released early next year.
The cold winter of chip shortage is far from over. I am afraid that mobile phone manufacturers who are prepared for the rainy day have already advanced the production plans of their flagship phones by several months, and some have even started mass production.
The battle for production capacity has already begun. I wonder which manufacturer will have the last laugh?
