CAICT: my country's first 6G seminar will be held in mid-September

Today, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology announced that my country's first 6G seminar will be held in Beijing on September 16 for a total of 2 days. The seminar will focus on sharing the global progress in 6G, 6G vision, potential key technologies, etc.

This seminar is hosted by the IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group, organized by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and China Institute of Communications, and co-organized by the promotion group member units and China IDC Circle.

The topics discussed involve more than ten key scientific research fields, mainly including: 6G wireless converged communications and new frequency bands, 6G wireless new physical dimensions and technologies, and 6G network architecture and technologies, covering enhanced wireless air interface technology, new physical dimension wireless transmission technology, communication and perception fusion technology, endogenously intelligent communication networks, new network architectures, network security, etc.

Compared with 5G, 6G is expected to have global coverage, better spectrum efficiency and energy efficiency, as well as stronger security and lower costs.

The industry has also had some visions for the development of 6G, such as: achieving global coverage through the combination of satellite networks and drone networks; introducing artificial intelligence and big data technologies to cope with more complex heterogeneous networks, etc.

The future is here, and 6G is on the way.
