Discussion: When 5G encounters an earthquake [Copy link]

It seems like earthquakes are happening everywhere. Sichuan just experienced a magnitude 6 earthquake, and Japan was hit by an earthquake and tsunami. The loudspeaker warning during the Sichuan earthquake became an Internet celebrity.

In this kind of natural disaster, what role can 5G technology play? Rescue command? Early warning signal? Or earthquake monitoring?

Furthermore, how stable and tested can 5G infrastructure be during an earthquake? What consequences will it have?

Please feel free to speak your mind! We welcome your suggestions!

I personally think it is just a notification to stabilize the morale of the troops. It must be done in advance to the minute level to be effective.   Details Published on 2019-6-21 17:54

We are upstairs asking if we should run away because of an earthquake.

Friends in the group said: Don't panic

Wait and see

I fell asleep.

I'm from Sichuan.

I was really calm. I live in a high-rise building. How could I run? My wife even asked me if there was an earthquake last night. I didn't even know.  Details Published on 2019-6-21 17:22

It is true that the elevator is not usable, and escaping from a high-rise earthquake is a problem. It is not realistic to put up a pole.  Details Published on 2019-6-21 17:48

I think the earthquake alarm system's warning countdown is too long. It should be less than 5 seconds to allow more time for escape.
