South Korea's LG Electronics stopped its global mobile phone production business in April this year. It is a pity that it has fallen from its peak in 2013. Of course, Nokia and Motorola also went from champions to their current situation step by step, but they all took the wrong path.
Considering that the mobile phone business needs to start pre-research projects two years in advance, it is obvious that some of the new phones that LG Electronics is currently developing will no longer be seen.
The whistleblower @Evan Blass recently shared with us four LG canceled models. Judging from the Google Play Console, they are LG VELVET 2 Pro, LG Stylo 7, LG K33 and LG K35, but they are no longer in mass production.
The LG Velvet was released in May 2020 and led to a new LG Velvet product, continuing the LG G series brand path. The device shares some of the same hardware as the flagship LG V60 ThinQ, including the screen, but the LG Velvet has a smaller battery and a different camera.
IT Home learned that the new LG Velvet is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, has 8GB of RAM and a 1080P screen, and runs Android 11.
LG Stylo is also a well-known model, and even the renderings and some parameters of the phone have been exposed before.
In fact, there have been various leaks about the first two models since last year. And there are reports that LG Velvet 2nd Generation was only released in small batches and sold to internal employees.
It is said that the LG Stylo 7 will be equipped with a display with a resolution of 1080x2460 pixels, equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor and 4GB of RAM. The device will run the Android 11 system.
The unknown smartphones LG K33 and K35 will get a display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels, be equipped with a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset and 3 GB of RAM, and run Android 11. It seems that the only difference between the two is that the former has a "bangs" while the latter has a perforated screen.
