Hao Yue, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice president of the China Electronics Society, and professor at Xidian University, said that wide bandgap semiconductors have been widely used in the fields of automobiles, health, etc.
Hao Yue also predicted that 6G communications may enter industrialization in 2030, and wide bandgap semiconductors will release huge market potential and strong development momentum in the future.
In addition, Hao Yue said that China has proposed the "3060 carbon emission target", which also gives wide bandgap semiconductors a broader prospect. Of course, we still need to continue to work hard to reduce the consumption in the transmission process while the total amount of electricity increases, and promote the early realization of the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.

The use of new materials is recognized as a way to fundamentally solve chip performance problems.
Peng Lianmao pointed out that carbon nanotubes have perfect structures, ultra-thin conductive channels, extremely high carrier mobility and stability, and are expected to replace traditional silicon-based integrated circuit technology in the future. Facing the post-Moore era, China has basically solved the challenges faced by carbon nanotubes and realized a complete set of carbon nanotube integrated circuit and optoelectronic device preparation technologies. At the same time, it has also made major breakthroughs in the research of carbon nanotube doping technology, making my country a global leader in basic research on carbon-based chips.
