According to the latest report from foreign media, Apple is developing a TV set-top box product with an integrated HomePod speaker and a camera for video calls.
The device includes all the features of Apple TV, such as watching videos and episodes, and has a smart speaker, playing music and supporting Siri voice assistant. If released, this product will be Apple's most ambitious smart home hardware.
In other words, the new Apple TV has a built-in HomePod speaker and a camera, and Apple is also expected to enhance some other entertainment attributes of the new machine.
In the tvOS 14.5 beta code, there are traces of a new generation of Apple TV (multiple references to "120Hz" and "supports120Hz" have been added). The configuration of the new machine has been greatly improved, and it starts to support 120Hz.
According to previous statements, Apple may cut the price of Apple TV in November this year and launch a new Apple TV in the fourth quarter of this year.
Digital blogger Jon Prosser said that Apple TV 6 will be equipped with hardware similar to the iPad Pro, while LeaksApplePro said it will use the A14 Bionic processor.
In GPU testing, the A14 Bionic clearly outperforms the A12Z Bionic, and the cooling system in the 2021 Apple TV is able to ensure that the cores run at their highest frequencies without throttling.
The leak also mentioned that the new remote control supports the "find" function, which makes it easier for users to find the remote control that is misplaced. At the same time, the focus of the new Apple TV is games, and Apple may launch a dedicated game controller for Apple TV, but the appearance design is not clear yet.
Previous news also showed that the new Apple TV will be equipped with an A14 processor and 6GB of built-in memory. It will also be available in 64GB and 128GB options, priced at around 1,000 yuan.
