Google today updated a support document to add references to unreleased devices from seven different Android manufacturers, including the LG Stylo 7 and Samsung Galaxy A82. The list of devices, called "Google Play Services for AR" compatible — formerly known as ARCore — provides support for augmented reality experiences, such as 3D animals in Google Search.
In the list, you'll find some top Android phones as well as some lesser-known models. Today, Google updated the list to add 23 more Android devices that support its AR services, most of which were recently released. However, nearly half of the new additions are devices that haven't been released yet, or in some cases haven't even been announced yet.
These models are:
Asus Zenfone 8 Flip, LG Stylo 7, Motorola Moto G(100), OPPO Reno 5 A, OPPO Reno 5 Pro+ 5G Bosch, realme 8 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A52 4G, Samsung Galaxy A72 4G, Samsung Galaxy A82 5G, TCL 20 Pro 5G, ZTE Z6650S.
The unreleased new phones that are obviously attracting attention in the list include the A52 4G, A72 4G and A82 5G, which are derivatives of the Samsung A series, and the LG Stylo 7, the 2021 successor to the LG Stylo 6, which is known for its built-in stylus and low price.
OPPO fans should also be excited that the Reno 5 series is expanding to include the "Reno 5 A" as well as the higher-end "Reno 5 Pro+ 5G Bose," although it's not entirely clear what Bose will add to the phones.
Since the support page only touches on the augmented reality capabilities of these Android phones, there are no other details to be gleaned, like the LG Stylo 7 or Samsung A82 5G, which are all being revealed for the first time.
