On the evening of March 16, Nasda disclosed its 2020 annual results and 2021 first quarter performance forecast.
According to the announcement, Nasda achieved a total operating revenue of 1,972,462.79 million yuan in 2020, a decrease of 15.33% compared with the same period last year; operating profit was -47,770.81 million yuan, a decrease of 140.79% compared with the same period last year; total profit was -48,335.95 million yuan, a decrease of 141.74% compared with the same period last year; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 87,654.7 million yuan, a decrease of 88.22% compared with the same period last year.
Regarding the changes in annual performance, Nasda believes that the main reasons are as follows:
(1) Due to the continued overseas epidemic in 2020, Lexmark's major business areas such as banks, schools, government agencies, insurance, and large enterprises were temporarily affected, and Lexmark's hardware sales, revenue, and net profit declined compared with the same period. (2) Due to the appreciation of the RMB in the second half of 2020, the company incurred a large exchange loss, and the exchange loss is expected to be RMB 740 million. The exchange gain in the same period last year was approximately RMB 65 million. (3) Lexmark set aside approximately RMB 200 million in personnel integration expenses in 2020. (4) Equity incentive expenses increased by RMB 45 million compared with the same period.
At the end of the reporting period, Ninestar was in good financial condition, with total assets of RMB 3,811,946.09 million, an increase of 0.79% from the beginning of the period; the owners' equity attributable to the shareholders of the listed company was RMB 834,678.13 million, an increase of 44.65% from the beginning of the period. The increase in owners' equity attributable to the shareholders of the listed company was mainly due to the introduction of strategic investors by Apex Microelectronics, a wholly-owned subsidiary, through capital increase and share expansion and Ninestar's transfer of Apex Microelectronics' equity.
On the same day, Nasda expected to earn RMB 180 million to RMB 270 million in the first quarter of 2021, an increase of 493.91% to 790.87% over the same period last year.
In this regard, Nasda stated that compared with the same period last year, the global new crown vaccination continued to accelerate in the first quarter of 2021, the new crown epidemic situation has been significantly alleviated, the global printer market has shown a growth trend, and the demand for printer consumables has also been released. The company's printer general consumables business and Apex microelectronics business modules' sales and revenue have shown growth trends to varying degrees.
