Last month, Anker, a well-known mobile phone accessories manufacturer, released a MagSafe wireless charger exclusively for the iPhone 12 series at CES. Currently, this product has begun accepting pre-orders for $39.99 and will go on sale on March 3.
Last week, Bloomberg reported that Apple is developing a product similar to the power bank launched by Anker, which supports MagSafe magnetic charging. People familiar with the matter revealed that the product has been in the market for more than a year and was planned to be launched a few months after the release of the iPhone 12 series. However, Apple is currently in a development difficulty because the device has an overheating prompt for no reason. This dilemma may cause Apple to give up the development of this accessory.
Anker's PowerCore Megnetic 5K wireless charger has a rated capacity of 5000mAh, which can fully charge an iPhone 12 mini once, charge an iPhone 12 from 0% to 95%, charge an iPhone 12 Pro from 0% to 97%, and charge an iPhone 12 Pro Max from 0% to 75%.
This power bank also supports charging other devices via the USB-C interface, or recharging the power bank itself.
However, it should be noted that this product only supports MagSafe magnetic suction and has not passed the official certification of MagSafe accessories, so the charging speed will not reach the maximum 15W, but only supports the standard Qi 5W wireless charging speed.
