Sony Xperia 5 Chinese version gets Android 11 update

The Chinese version of the first-generation Sony Xperia 5 has now received a system update to Android 11. Sony Xperia 5 users can check for Android 11 system updates themselves or get the full package from the official website.


Sony Xperia 5 was officially released on September 24, 2019. It is priced at 5,399 yuan, weighs only 164g, is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, has a 3150mAh battery, provides 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

IT Home learned that after the update, the Xperia 5 II will get standard Android 11 additional features, such as chat bubbles, comprehensively improved notification management, and one-time permissions. Like the Xperia 5 update, the change log here will not show a complete list of changes, nor will it confirm the details of the security patch.
